Yesterday I was cleaning our en suite bathroom and I realized we had a ton of books in there. I’m a bath reader…and I read while brushing my teeth. John reads in there too but I won’t talk about that. So there were books on the window ledge, on the back of the toilet and on the counter. I decided we needed a book shelf.
So I wandered into our hallway where we keep a pile of stuff that has no home but should probably be moved into the basement but clearly that isn’t happening anytime soon. And voila, a glass shelf that used to live in the office but didn’t make the nursery cut, so it was banished to the hallway pile of junk. It’s perfect.
I brought it into the bathroom and I was about to put it up when I realized we were going to hang a creepy eye painting on our only blank bathroom wall. Oh that eye painting! I dislike it. It’s CREEPY. But John, he loves this painting. I wanted to hang it our bathroom so John wouldn’t put it up elsewhere in the house. Plain and simple.
So lovely readers, I ask you…what would you do?
1) Hang creepy eye painting to avoid it being hung elsewhere in the house, and deal with the books all over my tiny en suite bathroom.
2) Hide the creepy eye painting in the hallway pile of junk and put up the book shelf since it serves an actual purpose!
