I thought I had a ton to write about this week, but now I can’t seem to remember anything at all!
Hmm let’s see. We went to Edmonton last weekend and I spent some time at the west edmonton mall. I didn’t buy anything at all. No baby items. Impressive! Technically we don’t NEED anything because we have everything from Henry. But I have a few things I would like:
-A new glider. We have a wooden rocking chair and it is wonderful but it’s too narrow now that Henry is bigger. I would love a nice wide glider that we can cuddle up in.
-Seasonally appropriate clothing from 3 months on. Henry was born in April, William will be born in December. All the newborn clothes we have can work in the winter, but his 3 month clothes are all shorts and t shirts. It might be too chilly for March especially here in Calgary. I could layer with long sleeve onsies and make it work so it’s not a huge problem.
-A real sound machine. We have a sleep sheep and it’s great, but there were times with Henry where I would have to turn it on and on and on again to get him to keep sleeping. A sound machine that just stays on would be lovely, but we have managed without it and we could again.
A video monitor: we actually found one on sale and bought it about a month ago. I haven’t taken it out of the box yet.
-More cloth diapers: So I don’t have to wash the ones I have every day. Newborns need changing more often and between Will and Henry, I’m sure my stash would be gone in 1 day. A lovely friend of ours just gave me a bunch but I haven’t gone through them yet. So really we might not need any!
Here is my 21 week post with Henry, if you are interested. And with William:
How far along? 21 weeks!
Belly Button: Shallow and wide open. See that flat part in my first photo? That’s the belly button…
R: Ya, I think by the time he is 2 he’ll have the normal amount.
J: That means that William could be born with more hair than Henry.
