1:05pm: Get out of the shower. William and Henry are both still sleeping, so I decide to blow dry my hair. Then I go onto the computer to do some volunteer work.
2:10pm: William wakes up. I feed him but he immediately falls asleep. So he wasn’t actually hungry. I update and publish the blog post about our morning, while cuddling a sleeping William. Then we head back downstairs.
2:16pm: Henry lets out a long cry. I check the video monitor and he’s still laying down and appears to still be sleeping. I continue folding the laundry and I finally move the diapers to the drier. Suddenly realize I’m starving. I microwave the leftover pasta from last night’s dinner. There isn’t very much left and I’m still hungry. So I make myself a decaf mocha and drink it while watching the “Carrie Diaries”.
3:20pm: Henry wakes up and since my show isn’t over, we cuddle and watch it together.
3:30pm: Grilled Cheese and peaches for lunch. Just as I start eating the other half of Henry’s sandwhich (what…someone has to eat it.), William wakes up. I feed him while snacking on Henry’s leftovers. I burp him too and am surprised that there is no spit up. It must be coming.
3:50pm: Diaper changes for all! (diapers #7 and #8) Followed by tummy time for William.
|I knew spit up was on the way!|
4:20pm: DADDY’S HOME! John was gone from Monday morning until Tuesday afternoon for work and we all missed him. He comes in holding my keys….because he found them in the door. I got home at 4:30pm on Monday so my keys were in the door for 48 hours! Mom brain is a real thing!
After playing with Henry briefly, John grabs William and they nap together on the couch. I stuff diapers, and get dinner ready.
6:30pm: I wake up John and when he goes to put William down, he wakes up too. John finishes dinner while I feed, burp and diaper change William (diaper #9).
7:00pm: I leave to take Rudy to the vet for his yearly check up. I give him a quick walk around the plaza since I’m early and we didn’t get out for a walk yet. He gets so excited at the vet office. He loves that place! Rudy gets a great report but they tell me to feed him less dog food since he gets fed by the toddler. She also asks if I can try to brush his teeth daily. DAILY! I tell her I’ll try but I’m lucky if I remember to brush my own teeth every day. Sad but true!
7:45pm: I’m home and as soon as I start talking, William starts crying. I guess I reminded him that he was hungry? Feed and burp him. John goes to change Henry’s diaper but it’s poop. I offer to do it if he’ll change William’s. Aren’t I an awesome wife? Diapers #10 and 11. Then I eat dinner (Meatloaf, rice, gravy, green beans)
8:30pm: Bed time for Henry. John stays downstairs with William, and I take Henry upstairs. I change his diaper (#12) into his night time disposable with a cloth diaper on top. We brush his teeth, read 3 books, pray and go to sleep.
9:00pm: Henry is sleeping and just as I come out of his room John meets me at the top of the stairs with William. They are headed to watch TV in bed. I head back downstairs to do the dishes and tidy up all the toys. As soon as I fill the sink with water, William wants to be fed. So I head back upstairs to feed him.
9:30pm: As I’m burping William he spits up on me. Then he gets the hiccups and spits up every single time he hiccups. SO MUCH SPIT UP. I change his diaper (#13) and put him in clean dry PJs. I then change myself. Once I’m in PJs I’ve lost all motivation to go back downstairs and tidy up.
10:00pm: William falls asleep in my arms. I swaddle him and put him into his pack’n play beside our bed.
10:05pm: Henry wakes up. Since we are both too lazy to keep putting him back to sleep (there are bound to be more wake ups), John goes and gets him and brings him into our bed. He’s sleeping again as soon as his head hits his pillow.
10:45pm: John hands me the remote and rolls over to sleep. I turn on Pretty Little Liars.
11:30pm: I finally turn off the TV and go to sleep.
