Just the other day I was at Toddler Talk at our local library. As we were all packing up to go, a lady with 2 kids asked me how far apart my boys were in age. I told her 19 months and she told me her kids were 16 months apart. Then she laughed and said “What were we thinking!”. I laughed too (to be polite) but I definitely don’t feel that way. Maybe it’s because I’ve always wanted a large family, or always pictured my kids close in age. But I just wasn’t worried about it. I knew there would be a learning curve but that we would figure it out.
I wrote the post “How I Wrangle 2 kids under 2” for my friend Natalie who was about to have her second baby girl. She had so many questions about how it would be with 2 babies! I knew I couldn’t tell her how it would be, but I could tell her how it was for me. Well now she’s had sweet baby Colbie, and she wanted to share the knowledge! So she’s hosting a blog Question and Answer about having 2 kids any age apart. She asked me and Beth Ann from My Life More Abundant (who also has 2 sweet boys) to help out.
All you have to do is visit Natalie’s blog, Beth Ann’s Blog or just my blog and ask any question at all about having 2 kids in the comments. Then the 3 of us will answer each and every question and post them. Then you’ll see how 3 different families handle 2 kids. We definitely don’t have all the answers, but we have a bit of experience and we’d love to pass on whatever we can.
So ask away!
