Due to the large amount of rain we’ve been getting (and even more rain the mountains have been getting), Calgary is extremely flooded. Calgary’s main river, the Bow River, is a mountain river. It has breached its banks and continues to rise. 75,000 people have been evacuated. The entire downtown core is shut down. They turned off power and gas. And it’s not over yet. Here is an article talking about it if you are interested:
I’m fine. We are fine. We live in a small town outside of Calgary and the town is not worried about any of our streams, lakes or canals flooding. Even though it is still raining.
There are so many people who aren’t fine though. Please pray for them. Or think good thoughts for them.
And yes I feel a little ridiculous for posting yesterday about how I love all the rain we’ve been getting…
