First of all Happy Thanksgiving (later this week) to all my American friends! I hope you guys have a great holiday!
We seem to finally be over our month long winter illness. The kids still have runny noses from time to time but I think that might be a winter thing. We want to Henry’s “class” this morning and then William threw up all over me… So that was gross. But he was fine after that. He was basically a constant Spiter uper his whole baby hood and now he still occasionally spit ups but with big people food in his belly it’s more of a puke. I don’t think it’s illness related.
William’s first birthday is this friday. He is totally a little toddler now that’s he’s walking and babbling and demonstrating that he has a mind of his own. I just want to continually kiss his cheeks for the rest of our lives. And I just might. I can’t believe I’ve only had him for a year! I can’t remember life without him.
We are having a small party for him on Saturday. Half the people we invited couldn’t make it because of their busy holiday schedules. I feel sad for him even though he won’t know it. Next year I might make his party much earlier, but it seemed wrong to do that for his very first birthday! We are doing a breakfast party and I’m excited for delicious breakfast food.
I’ve been feeling really down about winter this year and I think it’s because I usually decorate for Christmas on Nov. 11 but felt like I had to wait this year until after William’s party. I think once the decorations are up I’ll be in a more festive mood. Hurrah! We are going to cut down a Christmas tree on Sunday and I am so very excited about it!
