19 Weeks on 02/19/14
Holy Growth Spurt! Baby is only mango sized (plus legs) apparently. 6 days until our ultrasound and I’m sure if Baby 3 is a giant they will tell me. Also: William and Henry joined me for the photo, but only William was close enough to get in this week. Is he not super adorable? (I sound like Grover, too many Sesame Street Books) Look at his little smile!!
|I zoomed out to show Henry too. I love my boys.|
Feeling: Besides the 2 day stomach bug, and the light headedness I had for a few days after that, I feel good! Heartburn is starting up at night in bed but 1 TUMS easily takes care of that. I’ve definitely noticed that it happens when I eat dessert…so I will try to cut back on that…maybe. My back hasn’t been bothering me but I do have an appointment this afternoon with the chiropractor just to make sure.
Movement: Yes. A lovely amount that I can feel whenever I stop and just be. Oh how I would love to just sit around all day and enjoy it! I still can’t feel it from the outside and John’s been away so I haven’t had him try yet. LOVE IT!
Craving/Avoiding: Loving carbs still. After the stomach bug, I went and bought a small loaf of fresh baked sourdough bread and the boys and I ate it for dinner. I’m also still loving veggies and hummus. My veggie of choice this week is red pepper. I also can’t get enough pears and I try to eat them when the kids aren’t looking so I don’t have to share. I’m not really avoiding anything but haven’t made any meat other than chicken fingers and eggs this week (since John was away).
Gender: I still think Boy. 5 days until we hopefully know. I feel weird about finding out this time. I feel like loads of people want me to have a girl and I would love a girl. But I would also love a boy and I think it IS a boy…so I think those people might be disappointed. I wouldn’t be, because…have you seen my boys? Adorable and sweet little men. I would love another. So I do appreciate all the girly vibes people are sending but can you please switch them to healthy baby vibes instead?
What I’m wearing: Pjs when I was sick Thursday + Friday. Jeans or Lulu’s the rest of the time except for church which I wear a dress or skirt to. I desperately need new clothes. All my (non-maternity) T-shirts have small holes in the belly region since I have worn them through 3 pregnancies now. I’m going shopping tomorrow to get some new stuff.
Differences this time around: Well a giant belly. I had a tiny belly with Henry (I called this week the week of the disappearing belly with him). But I also said exactly the same thing about heartburn at night and taking a TUMS. With William we were in the middle of a heat wave and that’s pretty much all I could think about then (it was July 10th and I’m due July 16th this time….FULL TERM IN A HEAT WAVE MIGHT KILL ME but I’m just trying not to think about it yet).
19 weeks with Henry and William
Guys look at how huge I am this time around! I love it though. A nice round belly so early on is easier to feel good about and looks cuter in clothes! Hopefully the baby is doing OK in there!
I’m loving pregnancy, like I usually do. It is so good to me (after the first trimester). Grow baby grow!
