36 weeks pregnant on 06/18/14. Less than a month until I’m due!!
I had a huge meltdown on Friday. John put both vinegar and bleach in the washing machine. You are NOT suppose to mix those. It releases chlorine gas and could basically poison you. It specifically attacks mucous membranes and pregnancy is one huge mucous membrane (kinda) so I totally freaked. And wanted to take the kids and leave the house before we all died. I cried. I hysterically cried. John sent me to bed. All was well. No one died.
I sanded our front porch on Saturday so it would be ready to paint. I found that if I squatted, it felt like the baby was just going to fall out…so I stopped doing that. Other than that I felt great. But for the 2 days after, I was completely exhausted. I even fell asleep a few times (while solo parenting!) by accident on the couch. Thank Goodness my house is very well child proofed. I’ve decided that’s OK. I can have 1 very productive day followed by 2 rest days (the benefits of being a stay at home mom). It just might take me longer to tackle my to do list.
I had my appointment Tuesday. Baby is still head down with her back on the right side again (she flip flopped over). Her heartbeat was 140bpm. My midwife said she can still feel quite a bit of her head, so she isn’t going to just fall out like I sometimes feel. My belly is measuring at 37 weeks. It was ahead a week at my last appointment too. I weighed myself on our broken scale just to get an estimate and I think I’ve gained around 28 pounds, which is way less than I feel like I’ve gained! So that was a happy surprise. Though the scale is broken so I don’t know how much faith I should put in it! I also was tested for Strep B. I was positive for it when I was pregnant with Henry, and negative while pregnant with William. So I hope I’m still negative since I’m also allergic to penicillin which makes it a PAIN to deal with.
I also had our babysitter come over on Tuesday. I was able to file all our papers. Like papers from 2008….I hate filing. It took me 5 straight hours! But I’m so glad that I don’t have boxes and boxes of papers all over my house now. Once I shred all that needs to be shredded we will be paper free! Our lovely babysitter is coming back Friday so I can hopefully get some more stuff done.
Comparisons. I’m looking huge like I was with Henry (eeek). With William I was measuring a week behind and this time I am measuring a week ahead so it makes sense that I’m larger. Also please note how LOW William was. It was so nice! Tilly is definitely higher up and she’s been pushing her butt into my ribs.
Bring on week 37! I can’t believe next Wednesday I’ll be FULL TERM. That’s crazy and I hope Tilly stays put until closer to her due date.
