Today marks 2 weeks since Tilly was born. I’m going to post about her second week of life outside the womb, but I’m waiting for my midwife appointment on Monday to get Tilly’s stats. So until then, let’s compare my babies.
Here’s the thing. William and Henry look nothing alike. They never have. They have some similar mannerisms, and facial expressions but physically…they don’t look the same. Then we had Tilly. And somehow she looks like BOTH of them. How is this possible when they don’t look anything alike? Genetics. Science is cool.
Here are their photos at about 12 hours old. Here most people have told me Tilly looks like William (bottom).
Then last night we were laying in bed and I thought she looked like Henry. So I made this comparison and WOW. Virtually twins.
So I looked around for another comparison with William and found this:
Am I crazy or does she look like both my boys, even though they look so different? I love that. And I love my kids. And all 3 of them are adorable.
When we first decorated the nursery for Henry, we knew that we would be keeping it mostly the same for all our future babies. It’s the smallest bedroom, and the room closest to the master bedroom…so it just made sense. Before William moved in I rearranged a few pieces of furniture, re decorated the shelves, and hung his name banner that Alison made. But other than that it is pretty much the same. I just wanted to document it before we change it around again.
|This sign was from my nursery as a baby. It wasn’t up when this was Henry’s room, I saved it for William.|
|Love the name banner! But so wish I got around to recovering that light shade.|
